  • You Are What You Read: Misalignment via In-Context Persona Induction Showed that benign biographical facts placed in a model's context, with no fine-tuning and no harmful demonstrations, induce a persona that answers on unrelated questions as the described figure. Across nine personas and thirteen models, identity adoption rises sigmoidally and crosses 50% within 3–10 facts; misalignment then tracks which figure is described, reaching up to 80% for harmful personas while evading content filters.
